About 3,400 years ago, Joshua became the successor to Moses and responsible for bringing the Jews into their Promised Land. His was a big task, an assignment from the Lord that would require obedience, strength and courage. In Joshua 1:9, the Lord told him that He would be with him and, because of that, to be "strong and courageous" and "do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed".
We all have our own journey in life, our own assignments from the Lord. Like Joshua, when the opposition shows up, we too have to be strong and courageous. In a modern take on this pendant, we say you have to be "Bold & Brave". When we have to be counterculture, and seek the Lord for right choices, we too can be Bold & Brave knowing the Lord is also with us and will bring us into victory.
