When asked to picture love one image often comes into view first, the heart. One of its first recorded uses was said to have been in the mid-13th century. While there are a number of theories as to its origin, many attribute its creation to philosophers such as the Grecian Aristotle who attempted to show what the heart looked like in his anatomical drawings. Whatever its origin, the whole world sees the shape of the heart as showing affection, goodness, compassion, and romance.
