How to use God's Gifts to Serve HIS Kingdom.

Knowing how to find our gifts and use them to serve others and fulfill your purpose.

When Brad and I were praying about what business to start after moving from the city to a smaller town, we explored many options. Looking back, some of them make me laugh. Ultimately, it became clear to us that we wanted to establish a business that honored God and helped others.

We assessed our gifts, interests, and what we believed would be a good fit for us. We prayed about it for a long time, and that marked the beginning of Bradley Kellie. Bradley Kellie later evolved into Storytelling Christian Jewelry because we recognized the power of stories in connecting with people. Christ used parables to teach, and we have our life stories and testimonies to share.

Let's talk about how to use your gifts to serve HIS kingdom:

Christian Gifts

Using God's gifts for His glory and serving others is a noble and fulfilling endeavor. Here are some steps you can take to align your life with this purpose:

  1. Discover Your Gifts: Begin by identifying the talents and abilities God has blessed you with. Reflect on your strengths, passions, and interests. Consider seeking guidance from mentors, friends, or spiritual leaders who can help you recognize your gifts.
  2. Prayer and Spiritual Guidance: Seek God's guidance through prayer and meditation. Connect with your faith community and spiritual leaders for insight and support in discerning how to best use your gifts for His glory.
  3. Understand Your Purpose: Reflect on your life's purpose in light of your gifts. Ask yourself how you can use these gifts to fulfill God's plan for you. Consider your unique role in His larger design.
  4. Serve Others: Look for opportunities to serve others using your gifts. This can include volunteering at your church or a local nonprofit organization, helping neighbors in need, or even assisting friends and family members.
  5. Practice Humility: Remember that using your gifts for God's glory is not about self-promotion or recognition. It's about humbly serving others and glorifying God. Keep your intentions pure and seek to serve without expecting anything in return.
  6. Study Scripture: Read and study your religious texts, such as the Bible, to gain a deeper understanding of God's teachings on service, compassion, and using one's gifts for His glory. Scripture can provide valuable guidance and inspiration.
  7. Build Relationships: Build meaningful relationships with others who share your faith and values. Collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to amplify your impact and reach a wider audience.
  8. Set Goals and Priorities: Establish clear goals for how you want to use your gifts. Prioritize these goals in your life and regularly assess your progress. This will help you stay focused and committed to your mission.
  9. Be Generous: Generosity is a key aspect of serving others. Share your gifts freely with those in need, whether it's through financial contributions, acts of kindness, or sharing your knowledge and skills.
  10. Continuous Growth: Continuously work on developing and improving your gifts. This may involve further education, training, or seeking mentorship to become more effective in your service.
  11. Stay Grateful: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Recognize that your gifts are from God, and thank Him for them regularly. Gratitude can help you maintain a humble and appreciative mindset.
  12. Stay Connected to God: Maintain a strong spiritual connection through prayer, worship, and regular spiritual practices. This connection will provide you with the strength, guidance, and inspiration you need to continue using your gifts for God's glory.

Remember that using your gifts for God's glory and serving others is a lifelong journey. It may evolve and change over time, so it's essential to stay open to God's leading and be willing to adapt as His plan unfolds in your life.
