Red Sea Parting - Miracles Are Worth Waiting For

Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the LORD opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. - Exodus 14:21 NLT

Have you ever found yourself in a frustrating season of waiting? A season where you felt surrounded on all sides and could do nothing else but trust God and pray. The Israelites have been there too.

Just before God parted the red sea for them, the Israelites were also in a waiting season. They weren't slaves anymore, but they weren't in the promised land either. They were in a messy middle with enemies behind them and a whole sea before them. There was no way back nor a way forward, and it seemed like the end. But it wasn't.

It wasn't the end because their God was still with them, still for them, and still working miracles in their lives. Their God never left them. He heard their prayers, saw their obedience, and made a way where there was no way.

The good news is that the God they served back then, is the same God we serve today. And if He made a way through the red sea for them back then, He can make a way through the obstacles we’re facing right now. Nothing is too hard for Him.

So today, if you find yourself getting impatient and losing sight of His plan, remember who God is and who you are to Him. The red sea in your life WILL part, you may just have to wait a while.

3 Things To Do While Waiting For Your Red Sea Moment

1)Talk to God

God hears every prayer. He heard the prayers of Moses and the Israelites and He hears your prayers too.

So as you navigate your waiting season. talk to Him. Tell Him how you feel and what you want. Say everything you need to say and then listen.

Listen well, because red sea moments usually require participation.

2) Do What God Says

God sees every act of obedience. God saw Moses raise his staff and stretch out his hand. He saw the Israelites take that first step and He sees every move you make in obedience as well.

So if you've been procrastinating on doing something that you know will aid your red sea moment, do it today.

If you're not sure what to do, pray, read your Bible, and listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit. He will lead you.

3) Trust God For A Miracle

God helps all His children. Even when things don't make sense and God's timing seems off, you can trust Him.

He sees the bigger picture and knows best what to do in every situation.

Nothing surprises Him. So you can trust that He already has a solution to every problem. You can trust Him to turn every obstacle into an opportunity to show His glory.
