Statement of Faith

  1. We believe there is only one living and true God. He is perfect and personal, immutable, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. While single in nature, He has revealed Himself to us as the Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe that the Holy Bible (scripture) is God-breathed, establishes truth, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life and was crucified. When raised from the dead, He was seen by many and ascended into Heaven to be exalted at the right hand of God.
  4. All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is death (eternal spiritual separation from God) (Romans 6:23). Jesus’ death was substitutionary, making provision for the redemption from sin. He is the way, the truth and the life: no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). We must not only believe in Him, we have to receive Him (John 1:12).
  5. We believe, because of what Jesus has done, we have direct access to the Father through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18).
  6. God has and will always establish what is right and wrong, not people. “Situational ethics” and “moral relativism” is ungodly and contrary to the clear truth revealed to us in scripture. The Lord gives us laws in life because He loves us, wants us protected, and wants what is best for us. We believe everyone will reap what they sow (Galatians 6:8) and if we love the Lord, we will obey His commandments (John 14:15).
  7. We believe we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together: that we are to regularly spend time in fellowship with and encouraging other believers (Hebrews 10:25). We also believe we are to give tithes (and offerings) and that the Lord blesses for doing so (Malachi 3:10).
  8. We believe we are to be a witness of Christ to the world (Matthew 28:16-20) and that a person who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). We also believe that if you acknowledge Jesus before men, He will acknowledge you before His Father in heaven (Matthew 10:32).
  9. We believe in the sanctity of human life (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-16)and that miracles and healings are for today (Mark 16:17-18).
  10. We believe that we are to love one another and that our ability to love came from God, who is love (1 John 4:7).
