The Beauty of Simplicity: Sharing God's Love in Simple Ways

Sharing our faith can be pretty daunting, especially when we're unsure where to start or how to approach it. However, it's also one of the most important things we could ever do as Christians. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands us to "go and make disciples of all nations," we all know this yet many of us don't even try.

Some of us feel like we need to know all the answers, some just aren't sure how to convey the message and others are scared to speak.

We don't want to mess up, we don't want to say the wrong thing and we definitely don't want to push anyone away, so we say nothing. We hope and pray that people hear the message but we no longer make an effort to tell them.

I get it, it’s not easy, not for everyone, but it doesn't have to be so complicated either, simple ways of sharing the gospel do exist. Which is what we'll be discussing in this post.

Tips for Sharing the Gospel in Simple Ways

Sharing the Good News does not have to be intimidating. There are many simple ways to share your faith with others. One way is to focus on your testimony. When you share stories of what Christ has done for you, you help others believe it's possible for them.

Another way is to use simple language and scriptures. The gospel is a message of love and redemption, a message that can be conveyed in simple, relatable terms. Finally, we can use tools like tracts, books, videos, or merch to share the gospel with others.

Share Your Testimony

Sharing your testimony is one of the most powerful ways to connect with others and share the love of Christ. It's easy to forget how relatable we all are, it’s easy to forget that we all have similar trials and journeys in our lives, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

We all go through stuff. We all need hope. We all need God. This is why merely hearing how God got you through something can help someone else believe He’ll get them through as well.

Therefore, by simply telling others your own stories of faith, you can inspire them and help them see the power of God's love.

Embrace Simplicity

When it comes to sharing your faith, sometimes less is more. You don't need to have all the answers or use complex language to convey the heart of the gospel. You can actually use personal stories, simple scriptures, and easy-to-understand concepts. In fact, Jesus Himself used simple language and stories to teach His disciples.

In Matthew 18:3-4, He says, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

By embracing simplicity and humbleness in our sharing, we can create space for God's message to shine through.

Leverage Tools

There are many tools that can help you share the gospel in a simple way. Times have changed but the gospel hasn't and the good news is that as time goes on there are more and more ways to share it. From handing out a tract to sharing an interesting video that draws people in, tools can help you succeed.

We've made it our life's work to create gospel-sharing tools in the form of Christian jewelry and the piece that inspired this blog post can be found here. The Simple Christian Cross design has no texture or writing, it's simple but the message of hope remains, just like it does in your testimony.

1 Peter 3:15 says, "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

So as you begin your journey of sharing your faith in the simplest of ways, I pray that you be bold in your faith, humble in your approach, and always ready to share the love of Christ with others.
